Spring 2019: the trend is Yellow by Admin

It seems like designers all agree this time and from runways to prêt-à-porter collections, yellow is THE trend of the Spring 2019.

In order, form left to right: Jacquemus, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Max Mara, Etro, Givenchy, Oscar de la Renta.

The bright color makes its big breakthrough and is a must-have of this spring. You can bet on summer dresses, blouses, shoes or other accessories to brighten up your wardrobe.

However, wearing yellow can be challenging. You have to be careful matching the right shade of yellow with your skin tone and hair color. For instance, if you are rather light-skinned with blond hair, you might want to go for a pale or pastel yellow while if you have dark hair and a rather dark skin, go for a sunny yellow or saffron!

The advantage of yellow is that you can basically wear it everywhere, from a casual street style with a matching pair of mom jeans for example to a classy yellow blazers with killer heels.

Take a deep breath and go for a walk around your city, because we can’t forget that still, one of the best places to find inspirations are streets of a metropolis. Barcelona can be defined as a city which is blooming with diversity, multiculturalism and really good taste in fashion.

Today Capture Models Team decided to explore the capital of Catalonia in order to find some trendy and unique outfits, asking people of their sources of fashion influences.

Elena is 25 years old and she came to Barcelona from Venezuela. Her style is quite modern, yet laid back. You can also spot some vintage influence in her styling. Biggest fashion inspiration? Cindy Crawford and her classy stilizations!

Catalina is 19 years old and comes from Chile. We met her at the beloved skateboarder’s meeting spot near MACBA. She wasn’t really sure what inspires her, but without any doubt we can say that Catalina is really into skater girl scene. Just take a look!

Corenne is 26 years old and on daily basis lives in Switzerland. We met her at the entrance of the vintage shop in Raval district since she immediately grabbed our attention. Oversized white T-shirt is surely the key element of her outfit and it looks simply perfect with her modern, yet throwback-to-90’s Nike sneakers! When she needs some inspirations she always checks them on Instagram.

Engi is also 26 years old and she comes from Switzerland. Her style is natural and breezy. She chose a basic, grey top, loose black trousers and some flip flops. It’s the perfect choice for a summer day in Barcelona.

Best vintage shops in Barcelona by Admin

In Barcelona, there are hundreds of ways of spending your time – from visiting the most typical tourist spots, such as La Rambla, Sagrada Familia or other Gaudi’s breathtaking masterpieces to diving into Barcelona’s fashion spree. And that’s what we have done today. As you probably know, Barcelona is famous for the streets filled with exclusive shops like Gucci, Channel, Dolce&Gabbana, etc. However, not that many people know about the flourishing vintage shops and markets. We made a quick tour around the city and visited four amazing vintage shops. We made sure to take some amazing pictures just so you would see what it’s all about!

Soul

The first shop we visited was the vintage store named SOUL, situated at Carrer de Tallers. Crossing its thresholds, we found ourselves in a place that’s magical and a little dark filled not only with ordinary clothes but also with various kinds of disguises. See for yourself!

The second one was more casual and is maintained in the style of the past two decades. There, we found some 90’s style clothes like polo T-shirts, mom jeans, outworn Vans or Converse. What surprised us the most, was the large choice of football shirts! For anyone who loves old-school aura and football – we totally recommend it!

The greatest choice of accessories ever! Hats, all kinds of jewelry and neckerchiefs. When you enter the shop, you can definitely feel the 70’s vibe – the clothes are totally sublime and selected perfectly to capture the hippie era. Furthermore, the owner is very nice and helpful.

Let’s dive into the 50’s! This vintage shop is not only full of amazing clothes from a few decades ago, but has an extraordinary inside design as well. Unfortunately, not all the things are for sale, but still, it’s the great experience to admire the owner’s imagination.

Hair is mistreated during summer because of the sun, sea water and chlorinated swimming pool water. That is why you need to protect them as much as you can, with scarves, caps and hats. Oil treatments will be your dearest friends. Coco, argan, aloe vera, you can mix plenty of ingredients together to do masks. Also, remember that everything is related to your diet. The more you will eat aliments that are rich in nutrients, the more your skin and hair will glow. Avocado, salmon, almonds have omega 3 in it that will allow your hair to feel and look better.

What to put in your vanity for the summer by Admin

May has started well with a bank holiday to celebrate the International Workers’ Day. But it’s not because now we are working that we cannot think about our future trip to a dream destination. And because we want to be as organised as we are at the office, we like to plan things in advance. Thus, once our tickets are booked, we only need to think about what do we have to pack.

Girls always bring more than necessary. It is not a cliché. But we also often forget important things. Here, you will find a list of what you should buy to put into your vanity to be prepared to face a hard day on the sand facing the sea with only the sound of waves and seagulls.

A perfect vanity should not be too full. Think practical. Think about what you will need at the beach but also afterwards, when visiting and going out at night. We don’t use the same products during holidays than during our daily life. Our beauty routine changes because our habits and the environment we are in are different.

An important product not to forget is sunscreen. It is important to take care of your skin and avoid as much as possible damages. We don’t always realize the power of the sun on our body, that is why it is also important to bring an aftersun lotion that you will have to apply every day after your shower. You can also exfoliate your skin to peel off the dead skin, your tan will stay long after this.

If you go to the beach, you don’t necessarily wear makeup. We all like having makeup-free days, a natural complexion with beach waves hair. But for the people who still want to wear some makeup, look for a waterproof mascara, especially if you go for a swim and don’t want it to smudge under your eyes. Remember that alcohol and sun are not a good combination. If you want to wear perfume, find a selection that is alcohol-free. Otherwise, your skin will be irritated and itchy.

To prepare our summer body, there is nothing better than doing outdoors activities, whether it is by yourself or in a team. The undeniable advantage for the people living in Barcelona, or for the lucky visitors, is that no matter the physical activity practised, they will always benefit from an incredible view or incredible sites to visit: a great source of motivation.

Whether you would prefer to run, cycle or hike, you will find plenty of places to go to such as the famous Barceloneta and the Passeig Maritim. There is nothing more pleasant than doing sports while feeling the sea breeze in your hair. However, as it is quite crowded in the summer, do not hesitate to look for paths in the heights of Barcelona. Montjuic is a great area thanks to its many green areas, parks and gardens. You will enjoy the view as much as if you want to go to Carretera de les Aigües.

If you want to exercise with other people, there is still that easy option where you can just go to the beach and play volleyball. But for the people who want to try local activities, they should try the Padel tennis, a sport imported from Argentina but well-known here in Catalonia.

Outdoor yoga is also a great outdoor activity to practice in the Parc de la Ciutadella, near the Arc de Triomf with its fountain and its green areas. Again, it can be crowded and as yoga is supposed to help you to relax, do not hesitate to visit any park around you, they will all be as beautiful and some will surely be more peaceful than others. You can also go to the Serra de la Collsorella a natural park full of history.

Doing outdoor activities will allow you to enjoy the city, discover new places and new people that share your passion. With its 5km of coastline, Barcelona has a wide variety of places you will not know if you don’t wander in the streets. But wherever you are in the world, just remind yourself that it’s important to go outside. It is good for your body and your mind.

That’s also what tourism is: discovering the city without any precise goal.

Anyone can agree that Europe is far from short of beaches – It’s just that some might be a little more beautiful than others.
Here are 5 of our favorite beaches across the continent. So pack your bags with your bathing suits, towels and sun screen, and make sure to visit any of these beaches in Europe for a relaxing beach day, partying, or even just for a stroll.

# 1 LA CONCHA BAY – San Sebastián, Spain.

This is one of Spain’s most famous urban beaches. It is found right in the center of the city, stretching from the City Hall to the Pico del Loro. Its promenade features a few of the city’s well-known elements making the stroll round La Concha essential when visiting.

Another major feature of La Concha Bay is the Santa Clara Island which is found bang in the middle of the bay. This island also has a small beach where you can enjoy a walk to a lighthouse, a path with picnic tables and also a bar to have a few relaxed drinks at!

# 2 FIG TREE BAY – Protaras, Cyprus

Its golden sand and crystal clear water are what make the beach such a beautiful one. It is a perfect destination for any summer vacation, be it with friends or family – You can find a coffee shop right at the top of the beach just to relax and have a drink or a bite of food, and also different types of water sports such as water skiing, parasailing, windsurfing and so on.

Last but not least, there is an islet that can be reached by simply swimming through shallow waters.

# 3 PRAIA DA MARINHA – Portugal

As for all of you who are looking for crowd-free beaches in Europe, look no further! Marinha Beach on the Algarve Coast of Portugal is the hidden gem you have been looking for. Its caves and cliffs which are great for climbing make it quite an adventurous area too.

Apart from that, this beach is perfect for any beach day because of its beautiful golden sand and picnic areas.

# 4 PLATYS GIALOS – Mykonos, Greece

This is known to be the best beach in Mykonos, surrounded by restaurants and hotels. Here, you are guaranteed a fun mellow vibe throughout the day, and a romantic vibe during the evenings.

It is quite a crowded beach filled with straw umbrellas and sun loungers on its white sand by its clear crystal water. Also, Platys Gialos is only 5km away from the capital making it the perfect beach to visit if you are on holiday in Greece!

# 5 BLUE LAGOON – Comino, Malta

This is found on one of Malta’s sister islands Comino. Here you will find complete absence of cars and a beautiful Blue Lagoon with crystal clear water. It is a perfect location for those who love to snorkel, dive or just relax on its clear waters above white sand. You could also take part in a number of water sports deeper out in the lagoon, and bike across the island’s empty paths.

If paradise does exist, it must be on these beaches in Europe!

Beach Day Essentials by Admin

A day on the beach is not only a whole lot of fun but also incredibly good for your body if you act responsibly.
Preparing for a whole day at the beach? Make sure to toss these Beach Day Essentials into your beach bag!

# TOTE BAG

There is a lot of Beach Day Essentials to carry when spending a day on the beach, but there is nothing you cannot fit in a canvas tote bag. You also do not need to worry of it getting ruined if it gets a tad damp or wet. It is the perfect go-to bag for the beach!

# BEACH TOWEL

Never go to the beach without a towel and if you are feeling extra generous, take your massive beach towel and save the few that forgot to bring one. You will be able to fit around 3-4 friends at least to have a great chat by the sea or just listen to music and work on your tan.

# SUNSCREEN

This is quite the no-brainier if you are aware that you are going to be spending all the day on the beach, so always apply AND REAPPLY. Even though most of us do head to the beach to work on getting that tan, but skimping on the sun protection is not the way to go. You can find sunscreens with appropriate protection and instant bronzers so there is no excuse.

# STYLISH SUNNIES & A HAT

Even if you do apply sunscreen, your face is still going to need that extra protection. The bigger, the better protected, so do not be shy to wear those massive sunglasses and big floppy hat. It is a cute and stylish way of avoiding the bright red nose and cheek bones.

# WATER

Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate!
Tanning and swimming for the day is bound to leave you parched, so make sure to take your water flask along with you to have cool water available whenever you will need some.

# SNACKS

Always take a bunch of snacks to the beach with you. Something like cool mixed fruit, salads, some healthy granola bars and so on. This is ideal if you plan on staying at the beach for longer than 3 hours, to ensure that you will be full and happy on your well-needed beach day.

# A GOOD READ

It is one of the best feelings to unwind with a good read in hand whilst listening to relaxing music at the beach.
