Cannes Film Festival 2018 best accessories
In a previous article, we wrote about the MET Gala 2018. Another important event that occurs every year and where celebrities look at their full potential is the Cannes Film Festival. Even though it is an event about films, documentaries and court métrage of all genres, what people like us care about the most is who is going to wear what.
This year was the 71st edition. From May, 8th to May 19th, in Cannes, people were competing for different prices as the prestigious Palme d’Or. Today, let’s be honest we will not talk about what people had the chance to watch and who received recognition. We will give our own trophy to the bests accessories on the red carpet and also maybe to Kristen Stewart who dares to take off her heels to protest against the film festival’s code that requires women to wear heels, but that is another story.
Accessories were formerly characterized as details, while today shoes, bags and jewels clearly compete with clothing. Jewellery allows you to fully express yourself and can enhance a simple and chic look with the finest and shiny details. Here is a small selection of the best jewellery on the Croisette this year.
– Anja Rubik wore a gorgeous Boucheron choker named Serpent Bohème, paved with diamonds on white gold and matching ear clips.
– Alessandra Ambrosio, stunned by matching her Grisogono long necklace with a pair of earrings.
– Leïla Bekhti kept it simple but won everything by betting on transparency with rock crystal earrings.
This year, chockers were trendy on the red carpet with famous brands such as Chopard, Boucheron and Grisogono. It is always a pleasure for the eyes to look at celebrities’ styles. Whether it is about the accessories or the jewels, we like to dream that one day we will have the chance to wear such beautiful items. We cannot wait for the next red carpet.
